Radiochemical methods of analysis possess some special advantages , such as rapidity and great sensi t ivi ty, and can on occasion provide results which would not be attainable by other means. They are finding an increasing number and variety of applications not only in pure research, but in medicine and heal th, in many industries such as mining, text i les , metallurgy and the oil industry, and in some other fields such as archaeology and criminology.
